Training

Scaife's professional training began at The S.P.A.C.E. in the South-West of England, specialising in Dance Performance. It was here Scaife trained in a company environment with visiting artists such as Frantic Assembly, StopGap, ZoieLogic, Vamos Theatre and many more.

Expanding her knowledge at Plymouth Conservatoire in dance theatre, under the guidance of Ruth Way, Adam Benjamin, Charlotte Eatock, Heather Walrond and Josh Slater, Scaife's research lead her to site specific performance, choreography, yoga, digital dance, and teaching a variety of people and age groups in Contemporary, Commercial, Kathak and Bollywood dance. During her time here, Scaife acquired funding to set up her own company, Invertava Dance Collective and tour her choreographic work, Earthed Veins across the South-West, performing at various platforms such as Plymouth Fringe Festival and even making an appearance on BBC Spotlight.

Scaife extended her practice by working and training with industry leading professionals throughout the region. Working with artists, companies and establishments including Barbican Theatre, EXIM Dance, Pell Ensemble, Peninsula Dance Partnership, DanceImparts, Hofesh, InterMovement Research, James Wilton, Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Vincent Dance Theatre, PlymouthDance, enCompass Collective, Young Choreographers South West, to name a few.

In September 2020, Scaife is working towards her Master's in Choreographic and Professional Practices at the University of Salford.

Scaife has recently been offered to extend her training through Studio Wayne Mcgregor's RESET2020 training residency.
